Non Hodgkin Lymphoma symptoms 150x150 Symptoms and Signs of NHL
Non Hodgkin Lymphoma symptoms

NHL disease or Non Hodgkin Lymphoma is a type of cancer that develops in our body lymphatic system. Since our lymph network is everywhere within our body therefore early growth and development of this cancer usually escaped our attention. There is no particular site that could be referred to as the main site of this disease to grow. This cancer could appear in many parts of our body. Thus, knowing several symptoms and signs of this disease could help us in early detection whether we caught NHL or not.

Common symptoms that suffered by NHL patients would included painless swollen in lymph nodes such as in neck, underarms, and groin, and other than that there is unexplained body weight loss, fever, night sweating, coughing, hard breathing, or there are pain in chess, feeling of exhaustion that never gone (fatigue), and itch in skins. Doctor examination could be very helpful in determining whether our disease is considered as NHL or not. Other than that laboratory test would also needed to see the amount of white blood cell within the body, imaging procedures could be use to support the search of tumors or swollen lymph nodes. Last, doctor could also conduct biopsy to determine the cause of those swollen nodes.

The use of biopsy to determine the cause of swelling in lymphatic nodes would be useful to categorize the NHL subtype suffered by patients (If swollen lymphatic nodes is the result of NHL). If you are experiencing one or all the above symptoms, it would be wise to see a doctor so that he/she could determine whether NHL disease is the cause of those symptoms. We got nothing to lose in doing physical examination if we assumption in having NHL since medical treatment to cope with this disease would be easier to determine compared to if the disease already in severe level.
